Oops!

Katie got up and at it fairly early and has been on wonderful form since. We've been out in the garden, playing chase the rabbits (both Katie and Mummy, Bert decided next doors garden was more fun, but thankfully their garden is very secure and he couldnt go anywhere!) and having a good play on the swing, the boing (space hopper) and watering the plants (weeds!)

When she's been inside she's been on a serious play mission - telling her baby stories, singing songs, getting out a whole mountain of books which everyone is being read. There's a very complex explanation of everything that is going on, with some wonderful hand gestures, facial expressions and busyness. She made me a little bit sad briefly - she started singing twinkle twinkle beautifully. But trying to sing the silly words. "Twinkle twinkle chocolate bar"... then mumble, mumble.... "drives a car".... She's started copying the preschoolers. It'll be toilet jokes next.

It's a leisurely day today. We've a couple of little things to do later, so will pop to the shops but other tha nthat I think we'll be playing lots at home. She's asked to do painting, gluing, sticking. She's already done painting. She's done a sticker picture. But I think she's hankering after doing a big outdoor painting session. When she's finished sharing every one of her books out to each of her friends that is.
