The King of the Lamp Post

The look on this Pelicans face having a good scratch was priceless.
You could almost hear him go OOOHH AHHHH!

So there he was sitting on top of the lamp post with the beautiful afternoon sun shining all over him and there I was standing underneath clicking away.
I realised at one point that I was right underneath his bum I had a chuckle to myself thinking about the size of whatever it was that came out of it and not really wanting it on my head.

Which reminds me of the other day whilst having coffee with a friend saw a minor bird pooh on a lady's head...fortunately she had a bit of a bouffant going on so she didn't feel it.

It's dangerous around these parts with the thousands of birds flying about....some afternoons the sky is full, with literally hundreds of squawking Corellas.

I love it! And as you may of guessed I LOVE the Pelicans..there really is something about them that warms my heart....Perhaps by now you are getting a bit sick of them.

I really do believe that our move to the coast was the best thing to do...being close to the water and the Pelicans seems to shave off the sharp edges ....I always feel so much more relaxed and happy after a session out and a camera full of Pelicans.

PS.........If you have the time LARGE IS GREAT...lovely details in the feathers and the little tuft on his head.
