Nimmenhaimen Neighbourhood project

Nimmenhaimen is a main street in Chiang Mai, near one of the universities and criss crossed with smaller streets, each one called a soi. I reside on soi 8. I spend a lot of my life in this area and exploring the various eateries and coffee shops. I've realised that I have hardly any photos of the area however. I think it's probably a common phenomenon that your own neighbourhood, by being familiar doesn't seem exciting enough to grab the camera. So my mission, before I leave in 12 weeks (argh!) is to try and capture the spirit of my nimmenhaimen.

So, photo 1 of my neighbourhood project is cheese and cake. A shop that encapsulates the wonderfully Thai way of naming things in a way that in no way relates to what the shop sells. Cheese and cake sells neither cheese nor cake, it is a coffee shop. They do a barely passable mocha.
