" HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ADRIAN "

Forty years ago my life changed.  We gave birth to a very special person and in those days nothing much was known about Autism!  At one stage in his life I didn't think he would get to this milestone due to his very rapid heart beat and strain on his heart.

He has had a tough life living through Hepatitis, Whooping Cough as a baby and catching everything possible.  His drug regime seems to be constantly under review just to keep him calm.

But he enjoyed this very special cake which Ruth his kee-worker organised and loved a very large candle (not shown) which at one point we did wonder if it was going to take off like a Roman Candle.

Presents were enjoyed, cards opened from his close family followed by a walk on the beach.  It was very cold and we were all glad to get back in.

The smaller picture is Adrian and me.  I think he was touching the cake to make sure it was real.

And today we say farewell to the Porsche as it now belongs to someone else.  Enjoy Sunday dear friends. xxxxx
