Bonneville

I went to a model railway exhibition today - it's not really my kind of thing, but my Dad is visiting and I thought he might enjoy it.

We had a really long chat with a very interesting transport expert from Edinburgh - he'd had a lot to do with plans for the Waverley Line reopening. There was also a wonderful exhibition of photos of the original Waverley Line workers, stations and signal boxes. It turned out to be well worth the visit for those two things!

After we had a late lunch at the Leadburn, and spotted this rather wonderful bullet sidecar on a Triumph Bonneville. I have a soft spot for Bonnevilles - the first time I traveled at over 100 mph was on one.

I was amused to see this one drive away an hour or so later with 2 people on the bike and a dog wearing goggles in the sidecar :)
