Chattooga River

I traveled to Clayton, Georgia today to meet Joyce (njoyce68) for a few days exploring some of the 60+ waterfalls in the mountains near here.

This photo was taken on the bridge stopped halfway ( there was no one behind me!) where I would be straddling the state line of South Carolina and Georgia.  This section of the Chattooga was where the book Deliverance by James Dickey was set.  One of our National Wild and Scenic Rivers.

This area is much cooler than at home even though it is only 3 hours away.
