A Day At A Time.

By ElCid

Watcher Of The Skies

We spent the day wandering the narrow alleys of this extraordinary place, with their myriad of shops, some as big as a house and others as tiny as a shed.

The traditional dress of the Berber male is this hooded coat, reminiscent of something from Tolkien. Now nicknamed the "Hobbit habit"!

We have struck very lucky with restaurants so far, sampling local dishes each time and enjoying tajines of goat, beef and chicken, Moroccan soup and large round freshly baked loaves.

We are exhausted after our energetic day and so are heading to bed, mindful that the dawn chorus round here starts at 4:45 sharp and has a distinctly human sound to it.
