Victoire

Years ago when we lived in Rozelle, Victoire opened up a bakery in east Balmain, filled with delicious smelling (and tasting) bread, served up by rather gorgeous blonde plaited french beauties.  It was especially favoured by Bob I would have to say :)

I was rather amused to see that Victoire is still alive and well in Balmain, with this rather charming van named Bread Depot - which appears to be a fixture on the street.  It was amazing to see how little Balmain had changed in 25 years, with many shops looking just the same as when we lived there all that time ago.  

It was quite nice to see actually.

Visit with Bob and Zoe, with dinner down at White Bay at Rosso Pomodoro, supposedly one of the ten best pizza places in Sydney.  Nice but none of us would go out of our way to go back.
