Fife Coastal path #10 - Leven Links to Lower Largo
This is a short section of the path, about 2 miles, so easy to do the return trip with lunch in Lower Largo. Most of the walk is along the beach which is good for the dogs but not so good for the legs if the tide is in and you have to walk on the soft sand! Lower Largo is pretty with lots of picturesque cottages and a statue of Alexander Selkirk, (the 'real' Robinson Crusoe) who was born there. We had a toastie in the Railway Inn which is a lovely wee pub, and dog friendly too. The gate in the photo was one of two, both were beautifully carved. Across the road was a similarly carved statue, I'll need to try and work out what it all means.
