I have studied and seen lots of Shakespeare plays over the years, but I have never been to Stratford. Until now . . .

We arrived this afternoon and have wandered round the town with all the other visitors, although it is actually quite quiet. It will no doubt be a lot busier in April when the birthday celebrations begin.

Tonight we are going to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre to see 'Hamlet'. We know the play very well, but have no idea what to expect of this production, as the Press night isn't until tomorrow. We will do our own review first.
