Country miles

Found myself up at Stenton, and thought I'd take a picture of this old sign which I remembered seeing. It turned out to be further away than I'd thought, almost as if memory edits out the boring miles of a journey. 

It was all very springlike, what with all the lambs and flowers and stuff.
