Monday morning crocus

Saw these carpets of crocus on the way back from the castle yesterday and decided that they would be my blip today. Got up very early to miss the rush-hour traffic. What you cannot see is that this is right next to a very busy road and large roundabout leading into Aberdeen city centre; not the quiet woodland scene you'd expect from looking at the photo!
