Bit of a farce!!

Into Bath this afternoon to meet up with friends for a good old natter and some delicious homemade cake! The real reason for our get-together was to discuss the latest book that we chose as a group, Skios by Michael Frayn. The overall consensus was that Frayn may be a great playwright, but his style of farce does not work as a novel. Let’s hope our next choice of book is better!!

On the way to my friend’s house, we walked past this wonderful carpet of daffodils, which looked lovely in the Spring sunshine, against a backdrop of Georgian townhouses. Good friends, delicious cake, fresh air and sunshine all made for a great afternoon, even if the book was bit of a farce!!
