The Mating Season
The light was fading when I took this photo, having failed to snap two sets of less usual visitors - Siskins and Long-tailed Tits. Dunnocks usually skulk under the hedge (they were formerly known as Hedge Sparrows), but at the moment, they are busy courting, and singing from the treetops. Hairdresser today and other preparations for our forthcoming holiday
