Sunshine!
What a beautiful day it was today!
Nanny was sleeping in the living room and the Little Misses were fairly considerate leaving their ukulele and harmonica recital until about 7am!!
Mr K and Miss L spent the morning on her Easter Bonnet. It's ace!!! What Miss L can't do with glue, water, a balloon and yellow tissue paper!
Then we all went for lunch at Looby Lu's. Obviously the Little Misses packed for the outing as if they were setting off to the North Pole for a few months. Books, games, cuddly toys and cashboxes - their new favourite things in the world bought yesterday in Tescos with - and for! - their pocket money.
It was hard getting a decent picture of them. A seemingly simple request to "walk over that way a minute" turned into a ridiculous row in the car park. I should have just kept my mouth shut and taken the photo without them knowing!
This was Miss E making amends when we were walking to the cafe!
We had a lovely couple of hours drinking tea and eating yummy sandwiches and cakes then it was time for Nanny to go.
We went for a bit of a drive afterwards - to check that Mr K's car had stopped rattling when it goes more that 50mph (it has), and to look at a few houses that are on the market (enjoyable and depressing at the same time!!)
We went to the garden centre in Buckingham for the Little Misses to spend some of the money burning a hole in their cashboxes. Grandad had been very generous and sent them notes!!
Miss E bought lovely garden things - a beautiful glass hanging tealight holder and a matching wasp catcher, a wire and pebble butterfly ornament for sticking in the ground, and four tiny geranium plants to "plant and watch grow into the beautiful flowers". I love it when she buys lovely things rather than the first load of tat that catches her eye. She's growing up!
Miss L bought a couple of fuchsia plants and a giant bubble blowing stick.
Definitely a successful shopping outing! Thank you Grandad!!
