"Original Love"

What a wonderful name for this lily!

I blipped it on the 11th July in bud. The sun was shining then. Now the first flowers have opened and as you can see it has been raining! Still I think they add to the beauty of the photo.

This is an LA hybrid. Doesn't mean it comes from LA, but it is a cross between a Longiflorum lily and an Asiatic lily.

About two years ago the Yorkshire post were giving away a selection of lily bulbs, and all you had to pay was postage and packing.
They are all doing well in pots in the garden, but this variety is the best.
I think I will send them a photo and say "thankyou". (Then they may do it again next year!)

So much for St Swithins day.! It is raining again!
School holidays start at the end of this week so maybe we will get some good weather then. Let's hope so.
