A favourite ski run
We like to start our day skiing with this favourite run - it descends from here halfway down the mountain side to a gondola which brings you back up again. There are a few mountain restaurants down there, and we often stop at one of them for a morning coffee. The mountain in the foreground is Casanna, which we have often hiked up in the summer. It is quite steep and narrow in parts and there are wire cables to hold on to in the very narrow section of the walk - something I think UK health and safety would think is too risky! There are amazing views from there all over the Prattigau Valley back towards Landquart.
It was another perfect day of sunshine and blue skies, we have been very lucky on this visit with the weather. We leave early tomorrow morning to go back home and the forecast for tomorrow is for snow, I can hardly believe that, looking at the blue skies today. You can see the cloud inversion further down the valley, perhaps that is a sign of the moisture in the air bringing snow.
Unfortunately Adam did not ski today as he had too much work, so the extra photo is of the boys, excluding Adam.
I had a good day skiing, my legs are feeling quite tired now! And so we come to the end of another ski season, the snow has been very good this year. I must now get on with the packing...
