University Parks: Hairy-footed Flower Bee
Blurrier wings in large.
Crisper alternative (before taking off)
Eee, the bees are emerging! There were quite a few of these hairy-footed flower bees buzzing about, although I only found them on my way back to department so didn't get to chase them for long...
The University Parks were looking colourful today, so I've uploaded quite a few macro shots to Flickr (right from here).
Highlights:
Ranunculus: over and under
Tulips (red and green)
Grape hyacinth
Rosette plant leaves (angled)
Rosette plant leaves (side on)
p.s. Any idea what the rosette plant is? It might be a Lobelia of some sort, but I couldn't find it...
