inspired by my little book of country jams
I have had it for years. The instructions couldn't be simpler. Page one has eleven general hints, such as 'Jam is always much nicer if made in small quantities'. It's also much wiser, if your pan isn't very big. The jam in the pan expands at an alarming rate when it reaches a 'rolling boil'!
Well, I made seven jars of strawberry jam yesterday and eight jars of gooseberry jam today. I must get round to doing the labels before I forget what it is!
