Almost there
The famous blossoms from Washington's 3,000 cherry trees are just about ready to explode into a sea of whites and pinks. But not just yet. I went to have a look today, along with a few other stragglers, and found that optimistic lady doing the selfie thing all on her own. In two days from now, this will be a totally different scene, with an expected 1.5 million visitors to the 2-mile long circumference of the Tidal Basin.
The lone tree that had decided to bloom ahead of all others had a 'waiting line' of people ready to take pix underneath it. Cute :)
