Vintage blades

Over the weekend, I found out that the lens on my dad's old camera is removable.  After a few goes,  I got it off.  It's a 50mm 1:3.5; I wondered if it were still usable.  Another trip to the internet indicated that adapters are available, and will make this a working although manual lens. The adapter is on order, fingers crossed it works.

If you look closely, you can see the aperture blades.
