Blossom still blooming

I thought that my viburnum bodentase would be blosomless by now but there are still quite a number of these pink clusters on the rather bare branches.  The tiny leaf buds are just beginning to appear.

The extra is not a particularly good photograph but I watched this pigeon try, try and try again to alight on the bird feeder.  Each time he nearly made it he fell off with a great flapping of wings.
