Boat trip to Eigg

Today we planned to take a boat trip to Eigg and Rum which promised views of stunning aquatic life such as whales and basking sharks. Unfortunately my eldest was so terribly seasick on the first leg of the journey to Eigg we had to get off there and spend the day on Eigg. It actually turned out to be a lovely day, if not exactly what we had planned. We took a walk round the coast of Eigg to a small bay where we met 6 very inquisitive seals. We sat and stared at them while they stared at us for ages. We didn't see any whales on the way back but did see these seals basking in the late afternoon sun (with Eigg in the background).

The clouds were gathering by bedtime so decided to head off in the morning...
