No Golf Today!

I'm not sure if the north island has suffered the same drought conditions as the south, but it is incredible to see the amount of rain that fell overnight! Fields are flooded and rivers have burst their banks. On one stretch of the main road the police were guiding traffic through floodwater. We have often seen "French Rain" but never experienced anything quite as heavy and prolonged as this. I'm sure it is a familiar tale for Blippers in the north and west of England. However it is warm rain and the temperature is still 25 degrees but the golf course closed!
