She's Back!

Dear Diary,

Philomena made a very brief appearance on the back porch but oh, it was so good to see her!  She has slimmed down over the winter but I will soon fatten her up.  I wasn't able to get a good photograph of her however, I seem to be focusing on her right ear!  But there will be plenty of opportunities in the coming months for better photo ops, I just wanted to record her first appearance.

She will probably stay in her den today as we are in the midst of another snow event.  This time it will be a real mixed bag of snow and freezing rain.  By tomorrow it will be all rain they say so we will both just wait it out.  I will have to re-schedule things this afternoon.  I don't venture out on icy roads.  Dotty came home on Tuesday from the re-hap and I hoped to visit today but it will have to wait.  I'm just so pleased that she is home!

I will plug along with printing out pages of the family chronicle today.  It is a good thing to work on when you are forced to stay indoors.  I'm making fair progress.  I have another genealogy road trip to do in June and then I should be able to wrap up this three year adventure.  (She says with a healthy degree of skepticism.)  I fear this may be a life long passion that will only take breaks from time to time!
