Colors and Blossoms

So DC's blossoms are at full peak. Yeah! But so are the crowds. See extra for a pic of the same bench I featured a couple of days ago, with a solitary figure. No lack of people at this point.... Except in this spot in my main pic, a little ways away from the main attraction :)

Combined with spring break, early release from work re Easter and blossom peepers, downtown was completely paralyzed by masses of people and tour buses disgorging visitors everywhere. The price of fame? Yuck. I got caught in the mayhem and a trip that normally takes 10mns took over an hour and a half. sigh... I'm heading in the other direction tomorrow :)
