Butterfly chrysalis.

Many butterfly centres and zoos in the UK import these in special c0ntainers by air. It gives work to local people where the butterflies are farmed and also helps with conservation.

Once here they are kept in ideal conditions. After hatching they fly free in butterfly houses until they die a natural death. This can be from 2 weeks to several months after hatching.
