Countdown

To the Easter holidays that is.

It's been a busy week. But largely very pleasant. I've had lots of laughs with the ladies at work- there's been crawling across the classroom (not me!)to avoid another colleague- don't ask, we've done the Bunny Hokey Pokey, we've tasted Hot Cross Buns, and made Easter cards. I feel pretty strongly that that's what five and six year olds should be doing this week, rather than just tests.... I do wonder what they'll remember when they look back on their schooling- I hope they remember the happiness and fun and the care that they received. I suspect they may remember endlessly sitting papers and being told their "targets".

It's a shame teaching has now descended into this nonsense. 

Hey ho. Parentals have left for Spain for the Easter weekend. Lucky them, the forecast isn't great here :-(
