Home at last

Thirty six hours ago in the centre of the largest city in the world, population c 25 million, today on Gearradubh, population 13. I know which I'd prefer, not that city life doesn't have its moments. Fourteen days is however too many moments. The sun even came out to welcome me back.
I nearly didn't make it back. Despite leaving Crowthorne at 5 am to get to Heathrow and checking in two hours in advance of the flight, I was told the plane was full. With only one connecting flight a day to Benbecula I would have been stuffed.
One £5 food voucher later and a fair few conversations, a seat was found and after that the journey was uneventful.
Good to be back in the civilsation of the islands.
