SOLIDARITY

I was blipping these versions of the Belgian flag displayed in the window of a primary school just up the road this afternoon when a pair of heavily armed squaddies passed by - one of them gave me a friendly grin and said, "Solidarité hein, monsieur?"

"Ooooh oui!"

Took a jar of award-winning marmalade into the shop for our Cécile...

The magnolias (extra) in front of the Maison Communale have started chucking off their petals - in solidarity with the half-masted flags.

Ho hum...
