Bakery goodies

Great day, my sweetie ran off to collect his cousin who is staying with us for the Easter weekend. She is visiting a good friend in Toronto and was able to break away and visit us for 3 days. This cousin travels the world yet has never been to Toronto! We had an amazing lunch (I did alot of baking today) then drive around the town and showing it off. We stopped for coffee at a local bakery and I fell in love with these naniamo bars. They were massive at 3 inches square, and tall! We divided it 3 ways and it was more than enough. These treats are named after a seaside town on Vancouver island in British Columbia and are my favorite. Young son returned from his night out downtown. Neighbors joined us for dinner and it was just a party here, such a fun night. Off to bed, up early for Saturday morning rowing and Pilates.
