Oxford Rooftops
Mr K and I had a sneaky day out together today. For the first time in months - lovely!
We dropped the Little Misses off at school and carried on to Oxford.
First of all we went for breakfast in The Jericho Cafe which is where we had our first blind date almost six years ago. That day I was practically hyperventilating and shaking as I forced myself up to the door to meet a stranger. Today it was a little more relaxed!
We had planned to go to the bar at the top of the Ashmoleon Museum to have a mojito or two good look at all the exhibits, but it is closed on Mondays. As is the Museum of Oxford, the Museum of Modern Art and the Science Museum..... Not annoying at all!!!
So we mooched around for a bit, bought lots of lovely books in Waterstones, went for coffee, and then - like the cool, spohisticated couple that we are - went on an Open Bus tour!!! It was fab!
And it was freezing and wet but a scrummy hot chocolate in my second favourite cafe - The Grand Cafe - soon thawed us out.
Papa collected the Little Misses from school so we could have a proper relaxing day. What a treat.
