Church of the Ascension Timoleague

I took Rachel and Aiden back to Kinsale today via Timoleage so we could take a peep at the church there which freespiral had visited a while back. The walls are covered in rather beautiful mosaic, initially in 1894 Mr Robert Augustus Travers covered the chancel walls in mosaic and gold leaf. The mosaic in the nave and south transepts were done by Robert Travers ( son) in honor of his father and brother. The remaining southern wall was completed in mosaic in 1926 at the expense of the HH the Maharajah of Gwalior as a memorial to his personal physician, who had saved his eldest sons life.
