Tragedy in my Community

The scene on Minard Road today. Last night the owner of the shop seen across the road was brutally attacked. He died later in hospital. A friendly man, known to many. Police, Forensics and Press have been here all day, the road is closed. A thirty two year old man has been charged in connection with this tragic incident.

People began to leave flowers. At 9pm a silent vigil was held, to pay respects and show unity. We were all encouraged to bring daffodils. Hundreds attended including our MP Stewart McDonald and MSP Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland. We arrived towards the end, on the way back from the theatre.

This has hit our community. Praying for his family and friends.
