Ever so slightly, especially to learn that a committee member has been telling folks three weeks ago that we had cancelled.........Brilliant!


The 114th BISHOP WILTON Show 21st July 2012

Due to severe wet weather the show field is too wet for use to host this year's show.
The Wolds Half Marathon will run as previously arranged including car parking and start-finishing times.
The Childrens Classes No 350 to 399 will be re-located to Bishop Wilton Hall. Entries as per the schedule to be made by 9:30 judging 11:00am - 1:00pm approx. Tea... & Coffee refreshments will be available 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
Please come and support this, we will still have the Morley Exotic Animal Rescue Team with their wonderful array of creatures to handle, come and cuddle a meerkat or stroke a spider, have a look at their website to find out more about them.

Please note that there will be restricted parking at the Village Hall due to a pre-booked cricket match taking place, there is ample street parking around the village.

It is with regret that we have had to cancel all other areas of the show due to the current state of the Show field.

Looking to the future next year's show will be on Saturday 20th July 2013.
We would like to thank all our supporters of the show and hope that next year will be drier.

On a lighter note.

A friend of mine is in hospital for a couple of days and is having difficulty sleeping due to another guy on the ward doing big SNORRING ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz.
What did my very well spoken and some-what eccentric friend do to aid a good night's sleep....used bread from his tea-time sandwich to bung his ears up!
Said it worked fine.

We're taking him croissants tomorrow...two!
