Hains Point

The secret to avoiding the 1.2 millions visitors (twice the population of the city) this weekend for the cherry blossoms is to go to Hains Point, right beside the Tidal Basin, but largely empty of tourists. Today might have been a day or two early for peak bloom at Hains Point, but it was still worth it. Watch out for more cherry blossom photos in the next couple of days...I might head down to the tidal basin very early in the morning.

A run (!) today instead of a swim. My legs are complaining already. Then this lovely bike ride to Hains Point and back. Oh, and some writing too, but that was the least interesting point of the day.

The extra photo of RTD gives you an idea of just how blossomy it all is.
