Upcycling

This is the base of an old 'distressed pine' coffee table that we have in our living room. It has been distressing the Ards Man since I bought it, as he thought it was so poorly made.

It has survived many cups of coffee and tea, but not in a good way. The surface is very marked now with rings from mugs and the occasional water stain (a vase leaked a lot before we realised it was cracked). So the derided coffee table is getting a make-over! The top will be sanded and sealed with a matt varnish and the bottom is going to be painted with the same lovely grey Farrow and Ball paint as our kitchen cabinets.

I'll blip the result once it's finished!
