Like clockwork

After doing our usual Saturday shop, a quick look at the Telegraph revealed that the section with the Weekend supplement and the Review (with the week's TV listings!!) was missing, so I drove back to town to get a replacement.
The weather was by this time turning decidedly ugh, so there was not going to be much blipping opportunity for the remainder of the day. Someone had mentioned how lovely the flowers are in St Nicholas Church, ready for Easter, so I popped in to have a look. They are indeed beautiful, but I decided that as I often do flowers as my emergency blips, that I would do something a bit different.
This is  the original workings of the church clock which is on the outside of the building (the clock is on the outside, not the workings).  Dating from around 1682, the old mechanism of the clock was put on display inside the nave during 1988, some 13 years after it had been superseded by an electrical system.
