That old view....

.....  if we decide to drive back from Manchester "over the tops" instead of using the motorway this is what we see for a good 8 miles or so of our journey.  It's a longer route and not as easy a drive, but it's infinitely more interesting and attractive.  As you see our weather isn't good this Easter holiday  -  one sunny day and it seems we've had our lot.

I saw a young friend today who's just got back from Mexico where she was a bridesmaid at her brother's wedding;  no sign of any jet lag and they're holding a second celebration this evening when they'll all don their wedding outfits and do it all again for friends who couldn't join them out there.   What marvellous energy, but personally I'm not sorry to be looking forward to a quiet night in. :-))
