Zuidhavenpoort

A square brick gatehouse of three sections with battlements and four mirrored towers at the corners. The core dates from XIVa, a rebuild of the superstructure took place approx 1500, while the building through a restoration dated 1774 got its present form. Glockenspiel, whose 12 bells were cast by Pieter van den Gheyn (I) 1550/53/54. Drum Speelwerk from around 1554, with drum from around 1950. (Source: State Service for Cultural Heritage)
