Saturday: Trieste

We left home this morning for Trieste. It's only a two and a half hour drive which does feel bizarrely close. This whole European close proximity thing has been quite odd for us to fathom sometimes.

We arrived in good time and spent the afternoon exploring. We found a great bar this evening which specialised in micro brews (local brewery, using Slovenian hops). Unfortunately dinner was less successful. Most places were surprisingly busy so we ended up in an enoteca that was a little average.
