Colourful Sunset

What a long day it has been.  The alarm woke us at 5.30 a.m. and at 6 o'clock we were in a taxi to the Melbourne Airport.  Check-in is easy these days, and we were soon enjoying a treat at McDonald's.  We had an excellent flight over the Tasman Sea, and were delighted to see the familiar hills at the Queenstown Airport.  It was a slow crawl through customs, no problems there, and soon little 'h' was running through the Arrivals area, throwing herself at her dad who had come to meet us.

Yay, home in Wanaka.  Planes were flying overhead (it is the last day of Warbirds Over Wanaka).  I unpacked then went down to the lake to watch the sun set.  I took this photo by Edgewater.  The colours were beautiful.  

We have had such a lovely holiday, and we are pleased to be home again in familiar surroundings.
