DIY...

...unless you can find someone else to do it for you.

Back in the summer of 2014 when gran went in to care, we inherited her barely used dish washer.  Due to an issue with our old dishwasher being trapped behind some skirting, it stood uninstalled for a number of months.  Eventually we managed to prize the skirting board from the wall (taking chunks of the wall with it).  Unfortunately we needed to cut it down a bit to fit the new dishwasher.  Screws didn't hold and so the old skirting was temporarily propped back up against the wall.  Until today.

Mum and Dad had come to visit (and help with the job).  With a new peice of skirting, cut down to size, painted and ready to go, we just needed to switch the electrics over.  A quick blurry snap to remind us how it all wires up.  Unfortunately when it came to fitting the front plate back on, it just wouldn't stay screwed in.  A trip to Morningside Hardware gave us the opportunity of a break for some lunch and a chance to calm down before heading back to finish the task.  Rewired, skirting glued on and just the old plaster to paint before it looks as good as new!
