From thorns to flowers

At the start of the week, this was a crown of thorns lying on the church floor.  Gradually, through this week, visiting children from local schools, and people attending a range of services, have been making flowers and adding them to the crown of thorns as a symbol of good triumphing over bad.
This shot is the crown of thorns almost entirely covered in flowers at the start of the Easter Sunday service.  The extra is what is was like at the end of the service.

Easter is about saying yes,  It's about looking to the future with joy and hope and with the spirit of commitment enabling us to work for what we believe to be good and right.  Those things that make life better for all those around us: families, friends, acquaintances, those we love and those we find it hard to love.  It's about saying yes to life in its abundant beauty and opportunity.  It's about knowing that the thorns are there, but being willing to create beauty with love.
