Late Arrival
Storm Katie was fairly blowing about the doors this morning and heavy rain too. She eased off in the afternoon, with a bit of sunshine and now calm and a starry night. Loving the lighter evening with the clocks going forward.
With the winds blowing, it started off a lazy day but I did manage some painting in the bathroom. Mam and Elise popped around for Sunday Easter roast at lunchtime and then we headed down to Bigton to see brother Jonny and family. By the time I returned the weather was improved and managed to get out for a big walk with Sammy. This evening was spent tiling the bathroom and now it a cuppa and feet up.
On my way home from Bigton, we spotted the Northlink ferry arriving to Shetland. The ferry should arrive just after 7am but tonight it was 5pm when it was getting here. I spoke to a few folk that were on it and they said it was over 24 hour journey!! Taken from the top of the Clift Banks, Cunningsburgh, looking over Helliness and towards Bressay and Noss.
