Locked Out

Caution: contains a rant

We went out for a game of football tonight only to find this: locked gates. What is the point of having these facilities if the kids can't use them? Are they scared that somebody might use them?

I found a similar issue after Wimbledon: lots of televised free publicity for tennis, kids inspired and enthusiastic, unfortunately the council are on summer holidays and don't start tennis coaching until the end of August.

Thankfully golf seems to use the publicity from The Open to kick off junior coaching. I wonder what we face after The Olympics.

So not a technically brilliant blip but one that angers me!
