ROSE UETERSEN:
If you drove into my courtyard, this is the first rose you would see, it is climbing on the back fence, & has been for over 25 years. I don't really like lolly pink roses but Uetersen is such a good doer, robust, vigorous, always in flower, & has that lovely, old fashioned, quartered look, so I tolerate it !
Have had a busy afternoon planting tulips. Red, pink, cream, & orange in groups of 5. All double. I simply adore the double ones & find these are shorter growing & adapt readily to our windy, Spring conditions, better than their taller cousins. Although I don't as a rule like orange flowers, T. 'Orange Princess' is one of my favourites, along with the pink T. 'Angelique'. Both doubles. Love them all.
A beautiful day with a slight breeze.
