Road trip to resuscitation room

So today didnt go as well as we'd have hoped.

Kanye had 8 seizures through out the night which is way more than his typical seizure activity. 

We gave him the special meds the hospital have given us to break the seizures, but he continued to have more- including a falling one (on grass luckily) , we decided to go back to Christchurch which was a 3 hour drive but i felt i needed him in hospital. 

On the way back he had 5 more in the car, then when we got to Christchurch A & E he had one in reception where nurses came running, they lifted him onto a bed and wheeled him through to the resuscitation room as it was a violent seizure that he hadn't come out of yet.

A doctor came straight through, they checked his heart, oxygen blood sugar etc and gave him more medication to stop his seizures, this didn't work either. A paediatric registrar came down from the childrens unit and took over and we got transferred there. He had another 5 in the childrens unit and hit his face on the bed side rail during one of them, his poor face was looking pretty sore now as he hit his face in the car too.

They called the on call neurologist, luckily Kanyes usual neurologist had left a plan in his notes should this happen (this happened last year too) so hes on additional medication which did actually stop the seizures.

So after  4 hours there they let us go home so he could sleep, he had perked up and was waving at all the doctors and nurses with a big grin.They think either hes exhausted or getting sick..... 

My mum took Harper and Marley when we got to hospital, she met us there , my mother in law then went to my place to meet my mum and take over along with my sister and bother in law taking care of the boys until we got back from hospital which i was really grateful for, poor kids car ride for 3 hours then we left for another 4. 

So long day and we were upset we had to leave seeing Andres grandma so soon but we made the right decision to, Kanye needed hospital checkup.
