The darkest week

I got delayed at Dublin Airport on my way back to the UK. You normally wouldn't see a day-old copy of the Irish Times on the newsagent's stand but I wasn't surprised: Ireland has been commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising that was to end British rule. On the original cover of the paper, the photographs of the leaders executed at Kilmainham Gaol.
