Hazel catkins

A walk around Easter and Wester Craiglockhart hills this morning, accompanied by lots of birdsong. Amongst them was the first chiffchaff of the year, but he was quite far off, at the top of a tree, so not a great shot!
The catkins on the contorted hazel tree in our garden are now mostly fully open, so became today's blip.
